All praise is due to Allah, who made us among those who hold firmly to the Wilayah (divinely ordained authority) of the Commander of the Faithful and the Imams (peace be upon them). Let the present inform the absent, and parents pass this on to their children, until the Day of Judgment. Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified): “The reason why Ghadir has been so strongly emphasized and honored — and it truly deserves to be — is that through the establishment of Wilayah, that is, when governance is placed in the hands of the rightful leader, all problems are resolved and all deviations are eliminated. Had a just government been established, had Imam Ali (peace be upon him) been allowed to form the government he intended, all deviations would have disappeared, and society would have become pure and upright.” "The Supreme Leader (may his shadow be extended)" “The defining feature of Ghadir lies in the issue of Wilayah — the very principle that ensures the implementation of divine laws. It is through Islamic governance and the sovereignty of the Qur’an that these laws are upheld. Otherwise, even if individuals possess personal faith, belief, and righteous actions, as long as legislative and executive authority remains in the hands of others, the realization of Islam in that society will depend solely on the fairness of those in power.” The event of Ghadir is among the most significant occurrences in the early history of Islam and Islamic celebrations. This momentous occasion marked the clear designation of leadership (Imamate) and the path of guidance for the Muslim Ummah. Given the profound importance of Ghadir in guiding society toward spiritual perfection and eternal salvation, the Noble Prophet of Islam and the infallible Imams (peace and blessings be upon them) continuously emphasized the recognition and promotion of its message. So much so that Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him) declared its propagation to be an obligation. God willing, the valuable efforts of the esteemed participants will be accepted by the Almighty Allah and the Master of Ghadir, and will be recorded as the best of righteous deeds.
